Medical Description

Natak Eye Drop is an antifungal eye preparation used to treat infections of the eye caused by fungi. It works locally on the surface of the eye and is meant only for topical ophthalmic use. This medicine is commonly prescribed when fungal infection is suspected or confirmed by an eye specialist. The active ingredient natamycin in Natak Eye Drop helps control fungal growth in the eye by damaging the fungal cell membrane. This leads to leakage of essential components from the fungus, which helps stop the infection from spreading. Because of this targeted action, it is effective against several common fungi affecting the eye. Natak Eye Drop achieves effective levels within the cornea, which is important for treating deeper eye infections such as fungal keratitis. It does not significantly enter the bloodstream, so systemic effects are not expected with proper use. For best results, Natak Eye Drop should be used exactly as advised by your doctor. Treatment duration and dosing frequency depend on the severity of the infection and your response to therapy. Do not stop using it early unless your doctor tells you to.
