Medical Description
Myospaz tablet is used to relieve pain caused by musculoskeletal conditions such as sprains, muscle spasms, muscle injuries, tension headaches, back pain, and joint pain. It contains paracetamol and chlorzoxazone as the main ingredients, which possess muscle relaxant and painkiller properties. By inhibiting the action of certain chemicals, Myospaz eases pain and reduces swelling. It also blocks the transmission of pain signals to and from the brain and spinal cord, which helps to relieve muscle spasms and associated pain. Ultimately, taking Myospaz helps restore the movement of muscles and joints.
Myospaz is not recommended for children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers. It should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. Myospaz should be taken after a meal to avoid stomach upset. It should not be used along with any other painkillers.
Small frequent meals may help reduce any nausea or vomiting; frequent mouth care or sucking on lozenges may help reduce dry mouth. Do not use alcohol, prescriptive or OTC antidepressants, sedatives, or pain medications without consulting the prescriber.
