Mylonerve D tablet is a multivitamin supplement. It is used in patients with a condition called diabetic neuropathy. How Does It Work?
- Mylonerve D tablet acts as a nerve rejuvenator. It works by the combined action of its five different constituents - alpha-lipoic acid, folic acid, methylcobalamin, pyridoxine, biotin and vitamin D3.
- Alpha-lipoic acid is an antioxidant it helps in reducing the hyperglycemia-induced cell death of nerves. It can also reduce pain, abnormal sensation and numbness associated with diabetic neuropathy.
- Methylcobalamin is a form of vitamin B12 which helps in the formation of nerve cells and regeneration of damaged nerves in the brain.
- Vitamin D3 plays an important role in neuronal function, improves the synthesis of neuronal cells and can prevent damage to neurons.
- Folic acid is involved in certain reactions such as methylation and synthesis of neurotransmitters and can improve nerve conduction in diabetic neuropathy.
- Pyridoxine, also known as vitamin B6, is a crucial component for various reactions and acts as a co-enzyme in the body.
- Biotin is also known as biotin or vitamin B7, it helps in the production of DNA and RNA and also helps in the growth of cells and tissues. It improves the health of your nails, skin and hair.

Interactions with other medicines
- Certain medicines can affect the way the Mylonerve D tablet works or this medicine itself can affect the action of other medicines taken at the same time.
- You should always tell the doctor if you are taking any other medicines, herbal preparation and supplements to avoid any interaction.
- Concomitant use of the Mylonerve D tablet along with medicines used to treat fits (phenobarbital phenytoin) and oral contraceptives can alter its effects.
- Concomitant use along with Chloramphenicol injection may reduce the effectiveness of Chloramphenicol.
- Vitamin C, if taken along with this medicine, should be taken at least 2 hours after meals.
- Other medicines like Neomycin, Aminosalicylic acid, Isoniazid, Rifampicin (antibiotics), medicines used to treat stomach ulcers (Cimetidine, Omeprazole), Colchicine (used to treat gout), Penicillamine, Sulfasalazine (used to treat rheumatoid arthritis), Levodopa (used to treat Parkinson’s disease) and potassium supplements should be used cautiously....
