Medical Description

Mydolen capsule is used to treat certain types of myelodysplastic syndrome, a rare blood disorder in which the bone marrow makes abnormal or too few healthy blood cells. It contains lenalidomide, which changes immune signals and can help the bone marrow produce healthier red blood cells in selected patients. Treatment may improve anaemia and reduce the need for transfusions when the condition has the required chromosome change. Mydolen capsule is taken by mouth with or without food under close specialist supervision, with regular blood tests and safety checks.

  • Transfusion-dependent anaemia: In selected patients, treatment can improve red blood cell production and reduce the need for repeated transfusions.
