Medical Description

Mucaine Mint Sugar-Free Gel is an antacid that relieves symptoms such as acidity, heartburn, and stomach pain that are associated with stomach ulcers and acid reflux. The gel contains a combination of aluminium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, and oxetacaine. Mucaine Mint gel works by neutralizing the acid in the stomach, thereby relieving pain due to ulcers. Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide react with the acid in the stomach and neutralize it, effectively reducing acidity and heartburn. Oxetacaine acts as a local anaesthetic and relieves the pain caused by ulcers.

Other medications with similar composition are Ulpan saunf flavour sugar-free oral gel, Omee Caine mint flavour sugar-free gel and Winocid sugar-free gel. Mucaine gel should be taken as suggested by the doctor or pharmacist. It should preferably be taken before meals. Do not consume more than that prescribed by your doctor. Avoid spicy food as it may cause excessive acidity.

Mucaine gel syrup should not be used in patients with severe kidney-related disorders. The safety and effectiveness of Mucaine mint sugar-free gel in children have not been established. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to any of its components.

You may sometimes experience side effects like rash, constipation and diarrhoea while on treatment with Mucaine gel. Please report to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
