Medical Description
Mondeslor tablet is a medication used to reduce and treat the symptoms of allergic rhinitis, including seasonal or non-seasonal sneezing, runny and stuffy nose, blockage in airways, and watery eyes. The active ingredients in Mondeslor are montelukast and desloratadine, which work by blocking the effects of chemical substances responsible for allergic symptoms, such as histamine and leukotriene.
It should be taken as directed by the doctor in the correct doses, and for the exact duration as prescribed. You may take it with or without food. Dazit M tablet, Deskast tablet, Dezlotru M tablet, Dezlorid M tablet, and Allerde M tablet also contain montelukast and desloratadine as their active ingredients.
The side effects of Mondeslor may include sleepiness, dizziness, nausea, and headache. If you notice that these side effects persist or worsen, please report to your doctor. Before starting treatment with the Mondeslor tablet, be sure to inform your doctor about all past medical conditions and medication history in detail.

- You suffer from liver or kidney problems.
- You have asthma, or your breathing gets worse.
- You have a history of seizures (fits).
- You are using medicines for allergies (corticosteroids) like Prednisone and Prednisolone.
- You are using painkillers like aspirin. You suffer from a psychiatric illness.
- You suffer from a genetic disorder called phenylketonuria. The medicine must not be used as it may produce side effects.
Directions for Use
- Take Mondeslor tablet with sufficient water. You can consume it with or without food. Don't break, cut or chew this medicine.
- You should take this medicine regularly, at the same time and without fail as directed by your doctor.
Storage and disposal
- Store Mondeslor tablet below 25°C in the original package away from sunlight and moisture.
- Keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children and pets.
- Do not throw away any medicines in the toilet or pour them into the drain, discard them properly.
Quick Tips
- Mondeslor tablet is not meant for relief from acute asthma. Use your inhaler for asthma relief in an acute attack.
- This medicine can cause anxiety, aggression, lack of sleep and suicidal thoughts. In case you experience any of these, immediately inform your doctor.
- If you experience drowsiness or sleepiness after taking Mondeslor tablet, avoiding driving, operating heavy machinery, or performing tasks requiring mental alertness is recommended.
- If the symptoms do not improve even after using the medicine, you may experience symptoms like flu illness, numbness in hands or feet, rashes, and hypersensitivity reactions.
- Mondeslor tablets must not be used for children and adolescents.

Interactions with other medicines
- Concomitant use of the tablet along with medicines used to treat fits or epilepsy (phenytoin), anxiety or sleeplessness (phenobarbital), tuberculosis and other infections (rifampicin) decreases the effectiveness of the tablet and must be used with caution.
- Concomitant use of the medicine with gemfibrozil (used to lower fats or cholesterol levels in the body) may increase the side effects of Mondeslor tablet.
- Some medicines affect the way Mondeslor tablet works, or the medicine itself reduces the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Inform the physician regarding the medicines, supplements or herbals you take or might take to avoid possible interaction.
