Medical Description

Modalert 200 is part of a class of drugs known as narcolepsy medication. It's a drug for treating daytime sleeping issues. This tablet is a daytime sleep medication that helps you stay awake (narcolepsy). Moreover, it improves wakefulness and helps to stay awake by minimizing the tendency to fall asleep during the day and returning the sleep cycle to its natural form. Modalert 200 Tablets contain Modafinil (200mg) reduces extreme sleepiness by modulating the levels of chemical messengers in the nervous system and acts as a stimulant on the brain. This medication's side effects include headache, nausea, nervousness, anxiety, and insomnia. In addition, you may also have diarrhea, indigestion, backache, and coryza. However, these ill effects are transient and wane off on their own in some time. After administration, this medicine remains active in the body for an average of 5 to 10 hours.

Contraindications

Modalert 200 mg tablet is contraindicated if you are allergic to Modafinil or any other ingredients in the Modalert 200 mg tablet. If you are using antidepressants, antipsychotics, or antihypertensives this medication is contraindicated. In individuals with significant hepatic disease, the dose should be lowered to half of the normal dose. In certain patients, a standard dosage could result in serious side effects. If you are suffering from diabetes, heart diseases, and bleeding disorders, you should use Modalert 200 mg Tablet with caution. It is not recommended that you participate in sports while taking this medication.

Pregnancy
