Midora 2.5 mg tablet is used to treat orthostatic hypotension (a type of low blood pressure that occurs when a person stands up quickly from sitting or lying down). It contains midodrine as its activ
e ingredient. This medicine works by balancing the lower blood pressure in the blood vessels and increasing it by acting via the sympathetic nervous system. Midora 2.5 mg tablet should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. It can be taken with or without food. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding and about all the medicines and supplements you take and all the conditions or diseases you suffer from, before starting the Midora 2.5 mg tablet.

Contraindications of Midora 2.5 MG
- If you are allergic to midodrine or other ingredients of the Midora 2.5 mg tablet.
- If you have serious heart disease.
- If you are suffering from any kidney disease.
- If you are suffering from blood vessel diseases.
- If you are suffering from high blood pressure.
- If you have elevated eye pressure (glaucoma).
- If you are finding it difficult to urinate.
- If you have an overactive thyroid gland.

Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way this medicine works or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
- Concomitant use of the Midora 2.5 mg tablet along with decongestants, reserpine, guanethidine (used to treat high blood pressure), Amitriptyline, Doxepin (used to treat mental health problems), Cetirizine, Loratadine (used in allergy), Isocarboxazid, Selegiline (used to treat your mental health) should be avoided....
- The use of this medicine along with Prazosin or phentolamine (medicines used to treat heart diseases) alters the effects of this medicine.
- Concomitant use along with Digitalis preparations (medicines used to treat heart problems) is not recommended as it may lead to reduced heart rate.
- Patients on treatment with steroids (fludrocortisone) along with this medicine may be at an increased risk of glaucoma. Thus, careful monitoring is necessary.
- You should let the doctor or the laboratory person know that you are using this medicine while going for a lab test, as this medicine may interfere with the lab tests.
- Other medicines like promethazine, quinidine, paroxetine, fluoxetine, bupropion should be used with caution along with the Midora 2.5 mg tablet.

- Store the Midora 2.5 mg tablets at room temperature.
- Keep it away from light and moisture.
