Medical Description

Meladate Tablet is used to treat sleep disorders like insomnia, jet lag and is also helpful in regulating your sleep-wake cycle. Meladate Tablet contains melatonin as its active component. This medicine will regularize the sleep cycle. You should take these Tablets as directed by the doctor for the prescribed duration. It should be taken on an empty stomach. Before starting treatment with this medicine, inform your doctor about the medical conditions along with its medications. Meladate Tablets should not be used in children below 18 years of age.

Meladate Tablet is used to treat sleep disorders, jet lag & it also regulates your sleep-wake cycle (sleep disorders which affect the timing of sleep).

Directions for Use

  • Swallow it whole, do not break, crush or chew the Tablet. It is essential to take it regularly and at a fixed time.
  • Follow your doctor’s instructions and do not exceed that dose more than that recommended.

  • Meladate Tablets should be stored at room temperature, protected from moisture and heat.
  • Keep them out of reach and sight of children and pets.
  • Do not use expired medicines. Discard unused medicines properly. Do not flush it in the toilet or throw it into the drain.

Missed a Dose

In case you’ve missed any dose of Meladate Tablet, then take it as soon as you remember it. If it is almost time for the next dose, then skip the missed dose. Avoid taking a double dose to compensate for the missed dose.

  • Medicines like carbamazepine (used to treat epilepsy or fits) or rifampicin (antibiotic), when taken along with this medicine, may decrease the effect of Meladate Tablets.
  • Other medicines like warfarin, midazolam, zolpidem should be used with caution along with this medicine.

Food should not be eaten for at least 2 hours prior or 2 hours after taking Meladate Tablets.
