Medical Description
Megazone injection is an antibiotic used by healthcare professionals to treat selected bacterial infections and to help prevent infection around surgery when appropriate. It contains cefoperazone, which stops susceptible bacteria from building the protective cell wall they need to survive. This weakens the bacteria until they break apart and die. Megazone injection is given into a muscle or through a vein by a doctor or nurse in a hospital or clinic, and it is not self-injected.
