Maxtra Gargle is is a pain-relieving medicine. It is used for treating pain and inflammation (redness, swelling and a feeling of heat) in the throat or mouth. It contains benzydamine as its active in
gredient that belongs to a class of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is meant for oral use only and must not be swallowed. Maxtra Gargle should not be used for children below 12 years of age without taking advice from a doctor. Use it with the dosing cup provided along with the package.

Uses of Maxtra 0.15 %W/V
For the relief of painful inflammatory conditions of the mouth and throat including sore throat, sore tongue or gums, mouth ulcers, discomfort due to dentures and pain associated with dental surgery.

Mode of Action of Maxtra 0.15 %W/V
How Does It Work?
Benzydamine is a locally-acting nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medicine with analgesic and local anaesthetic properties. It works by blocking the release of chemicals (prostaglandins) that are responsible for pain sensation and inflammation. It also acts as a local anaesthetic, causing numbness and so pain relief at the site of application....
Directions for Use of Maxtra 0.15 %W/V
- Use Maxtra Gargle only in the recommended amount. Gargle for 30 seconds.
- Use the cup provided with the product and pour the oral rinse.
- Gargle for at least 30 seconds and spit out, do not swallow.
- Wash the measuring cup after use and keep it safe and ready for your next use.
- It can be used every 1.5 to 3 hours as required for pain relief.
