Medical Description
Lupase capsule is used when the pancreas does not provide enough digestive enzymes to break down food properly. It contains a combination of pancreatin, amylase, lipase and protease, which are digestive enzymes that help process carbohydrates, fats and proteins. Within the combination, pancreatin supplies a mixture of these enzymes, while amylase acts on carbohydrates, lipase acts on fats and protease acts on proteins. The capsule is taken by mouth with sufficient water and with food or a snack so the enzymes can work with the meal.
