Medical Description

Laxorin Plus capsule is a traditional herbal medicine used to support regular bowel movements and occasional constipation-related discomfort. It contains haritaki, nishoth, mulethi root extract, senna and sonth. Senna and nishoth stimulate intestinal movement, while haritaki, sonth and mulethi are traditionally used to support digestive comfort. Laxorin Plus capsule is swallowed whole with water and should be used for short-term bowel support as directed, not as a substitute for a varied, balanced diet.

  • Irregular bowel movements: Haritaki and the herbal blend may traditionally support more regular intestinal function.
  • Bloating and gas: Digestive irregularity can cause abdominal fullness and wind; sonth and mulethi may traditionally ease these discomforts.

How does this medicine work?

Senna and nishoth contain natural compounds that encourage intestinal movement and help stool pass. Haritaki is traditionally used to support digestive regularity. Sonth may traditionally help ease gas and digestive discomfort, while mulethi is traditionally used to soothe the digestive tract. The combined effect may support bowel movement, but it is not suitable for unexplained or severe abdominal symptoms.

Interactions

Interactions with other medicines

Some medicines can affect the way Laxorin Plus works. Tell your doctor about all the medicines, vitamins and supplements you take. In particular, mention water pills, heart medicines, corticosteroids, other laxatives, blood thinners and medicines affected by changes in body salts. Excessive laxative use can cause fluid and potassium loss, which may increase risks with some of these medicines.
