Medical Description

Lacsoft cream is a topical cosmetic product used to moisturise very dry, rough or scaly skin and improve the appearance of uneven texture. It contains lactic acid, a skin-conditioning ingredient that attracts water and loosens built-up dead surface cells. This combined moisturising and gentle exfoliating action can soften thickened areas and support a smoother appearance in concerns such as ichthyosis, rough bumps, hyperpigmentation, wrinkles and sun-related skin changes. Apply Lacsoft cream externally to affected skin as directed, keeping it away from broken skin and sensitive areas.

Uses

  • Dry, rough skin: Lactic acid attracts moisture and can soften skin that feels tight, flaky or uncomfortable.
  • Scaly skin: Its exfoliating action loosens built-up surface cells and may smooth thick, scaly areas associated with ichthyosis.
  • Rough skin bumps: The cream may soften and smooth the small rough bumps commonly seen with keratosis pilaris on the arms or thighs.
  • Uneven pigmentation: Gentle exfoliation may improve the appearance of hyperpigmented or sun-darkened areas by helping shed dull surface cells.
  • Wrinkles and photoaged skin: By improving hydration and surface texture, lactic acid may soften the appearance of fine lines and sun-related roughness.

If you are allergic to any ingredient of this product, do not use it. Do not apply Lacsoft cream to raw, sunburnt, infected or broken skin. Avoid the eyes, mouth, nose and other sensitive areas.

  • Dryness: Excess exfoliation may leave the skin tight, flaky or more sensitive. Avoid scrubs and other peeling products until the skin settles.

Missed a Dose

If you miss an application, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next application, skip the missed one. Do not apply extra product to make up for it.

How does this medicine work?

Lactic acid draws water into the outer skin layers and helps retain moisture. It also loosens the connections between dead surface cells, allowing them to shed more easily. This combined action softens rough patches and improves skin texture.

Interactions

Interactions with other medicines

Some medicines can affect the way Lacsoft works. Tell your doctor about all the medicines, vitamins and supplements you take. In particular, other topical peeling agents, retinoids, harsh or drying soaps, and abrasive treatments may increase irritation, redness or peeling on the same area. Urea-based moisturisers may add to the moisturising or exfoliating effect, so use the combination only with professional advice.
