L Hist 5 MG Description

L-Hist tablet is an antiallergy medication that relieves symptoms of allergies such as the common cold, allergic rhinitis (runny nose), urticaria, bug bites, and hives. The active ingredient in L-Hist tablet is levocetirizine.

Allergic symptoms occur when the body produces a substance called histamine. L-Hist tablet works by inhibiting the effects of histamine. If you are allergic to levocetirizine, do not take this medication. It's important to avoid driving and using machinery while taking L-Hist tablet, as it can reduce your alertness.

Common side effects of this medication may include drowsiness, dry mouth, fatigue, fever, cough, nasopharyngitis, and nosebleeds. Quick Tips of L Hist 5 MG

L Hist tablet may cause sleepiness, your doctor may advise you to take it at bedtime.
This medicine should not be used by children below 6 years of age.
Inform your doctor if you are allergic to levocetirizine, cetirizine or any other component of this medicine.
Do not consume alcohol while taking this medication because it may cause sleepiness. Stop taking L Hist Tablet at least three days before taking an allergy test, as it may influence the findings.
