- As per CDSCO, Kuff X Tablet is used in conditions like
- Productive cough
- Reversible airway obstructive disease
- Chest Tightness
- Chronic Bronchitis
- Sinusitis
- Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
Contraindications
- If you have any allergic reaction to Kuff X Tablet or any active ingredients of the formulations.
- If you have a hypersensitivity reaction to Kuff X Tablet and its active ingredient, Bromhexine and Terbutaline.
- If you have diabetes and overactive thyroid glands, then Kuff X Tablet should not be used.
- If you have any kind of heart-related problems like high blood pressure and heart failure, this Kuff X Tablet should not be used.
- If you have peptic ulcer disease, then you should not take Kuff X Tablet.
- If you have stomach and bowel problems, then this medication should not be recommended.
- If you are in the treatment of asthma without continuous use of long-term anti-asthmatic medicines such as inhaled corticosteroids, then this Kuff X Tablet should not be used.
- If you have any problems related to renal (kidney) and hepatic (liver) functions, then Kuff X Tablets should not be used.
- If you have medical conditions like seizures and tremors, then this Kuff X Tablet should not be used.

- You are suffering from any kind of heart problems like narrowing of blood vessels of the heart, irregular heart rhythm, heart attack, or heart block.
- You have high blood pressure.
- You have glaucoma, which means raised pressure in the eyes.
- You have problems such as urinary retention, which means block in the urinary tract.
- You have a history of fits, seizures, and tremors.
- You are feeling or experiencing certain kinds of hypersensitivity reactions such as urticaria, rash, or adverse reactions such as difficulty in breathing.
- You have Hepatic disease (liver disease) or Renal disease (kidney disease).
- You have infections such as tuberculosis or any other lungs or airway infections.
- You have bacterial, fungal, or viral infections.
- You have lower potassium levels in the blood.
- You have diabetes mellitus or hypertension.
- You are using any other bronchodilators or mucolytic agents.
- You are a pregnant woman or a breastfeeding mother.
Directions for Use
- Kuff X Tablet should be used at the appropriate dose and proper duration as advised by the registered medical practitioner, doctor, or physician. The label of directions should be checked before using the medication.
- You should learn the proper administration of the Kuff X Tablet as per the advice given by the doctor or physician. It should be swallowed whole. It should not be chewed, crushed or made into pieces by breaking it.
- It should be administered using normal water, and hot or cold water should not be used for administering the tablet.
- Kuff X Tablet can be taken with or without food, but it will be better effective when it is taken at a fixed dose.
- Do not stop taking the medication Kuff X Tablet unless the doctor or physician, or pulmonologist says to do so.

How Does It Work?
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- If Kuff X Tablet is taken with some other medication at the same time, it might cause some interactions by interfering with the pharmacological action of Kuff X Tablet, and some of the other medications that cause interactions are herbal preparations and supplements.
- Concomitant use of Kuff X Tablet with the medicines that are used to treat asthma with theophylline, atenolol, propranolol, and other similar medications of the same class which are used in the treatment of High Blood Pressure is not suggested for the use.
- Medications that are used to treat the conditions like psychiatric disorders and any other medicines like selegiline, desipramine, and amitriptyline which are used for brain disorders, should be used with caution.
- Kuff X Tablet should be used with caution when using it with corticosteroids such as prednisolone which is used to treat inflammation; furosemide and hydrochlorothiazide used to treat high blood pressure and Acetazolamide, used to prevent altitude sickness.
- Kuff X Tablet should not be combined with cough suppressants because it may change the action of the medication.
- Medications that are used to treat glaucoma, asthma, or any other respiratory disorders may interact with the action of the Kuff X Tablet.
Interactions with food items
- There are no food-medicine interactions between the medication Kuff X Tablet. This medication can be taken with or without food as it will not affect the absorption of terbutaline and bromhexine when taken with or without food. Kuff X Tablet should not be taken with alcohol.
