- Kojex E Cream contains kojic acid, arbutin, octinoxate and vitamin E/tocopherol as active substances.
- Kojic acid decreases the production of a substance called melanin responsible for skin pigmentation.
- Arbutin prevents the action of a chemical called tyrosinase which is involved in the production of the skin pigmenting substance, melanin.
- Octinoxate is a photoprotective agent that absorbs UV-B and UV-A rays of sunlight and prevents damage to skin cells after sunlight exposure.
- Vitamin E/tocopherol is an antioxidant that protects the cells from the damaging effects of substances called free radicals.
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Since Kojex E Cream is to be used externally on the skin, it is less likely to interact with other medicines.
- However, consult your doctor if you are taking other medicines for treating other health conditions or applying any medicines to the skin.
- Care should be taken if you are taking medicines for treating blood clots (warfarin), high/abnormal cholesterol levels (simvastatin), and bacterial infections (niacin).
