Medical Description
Ketotram is a pain-relieving medication, also known as a painkiller. It is a combination of two drugs, ketorolac (10mg) and tramadol (25mg). Ketorolac belongs to the class of drugs called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID), and tramadol belongs to another class of drugs called opiates or narcotics. It is generally used in case of moderate to severe pain. It is also used for relieving cramps, fever, swelling, and inflammation.
Pain is a signal that the brain sends when something is wrong in the body. Ketotram works by blocking the chemical substances and signals from the brain that are responsible for causing pain. It provides relief from pain and helps you to rest better. The effects of this medication start quickly, and it may last for a few hours.
Take this medication only in the duration and the dosage the doctor has prescribed. Do not increase the dosage without consulting a doctor first. Ketotram has tramadol, which is an opiate. So, some can experience mild addictive tendencies and withdrawals if it is used for a long duration. Do not take it longer than 5 days. Contraindications

- It is not recommended if you have stomach or intestinal bleeding, as this medication makes it worse.
- Also not recommended for people with breathing difficulties like asthma.
- Do not take it with alcohol as it exaggerates the effects of alcohol.
- Do not take it before driving as it causes side effects like drowsiness and blurred vision.
- Do not use this medication if you have kidney disease.
- Do not use it if you already have liver disease.
- Do not take ketotram 10’s if you are pregnant or breastfeeding without consulting your doctor first.
- Do not use it for a long duration, as studies have shown that long-term use of painkillers can cause fertility issues in women and men.

Storage and disposal
Store Ketotram 10’s in a dry and dark place, at room temperature. Use the tablet immediately after opening the package. Do not open the package and leave it outside. Do not use it if it's already opened. Keep it away from wet and moist surfaces. If the medication is past the expiration date, do not use the medication and throw it away. Keep this out of reach from children.

- Symptoms of overdose of Ketotram 10’s are nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, lethargy, drowsiness, weakness, and sweating. If you have taken Ketotram 10’s more than the recommended amount, consult your doctor immediately. Take emergency medical treatment without any delay.
Missed a Dose
Ketotram 10’s is a prescription pain medication. If you have missed a dose, then you can take the missed dose when you feel any pain again. Otherwise, there is no need to take the missed dose. If you remember that you missed a dose and it's almost time for the next dose, do not take them both at one time.

How Does It Work?
Ketotram is the combination of ketorolac and tramadol. Ketorolac works by blocking certain enzymes like cyclooxygenase (COX) that help in making prostaglandin, a chemical substance which is responsible for pain and inflammation. It prevents swelling, pain and fever in the body. Tramadol blocks the pain receptors in the central nervous system of the brain. It also prevents the brain signals that cause pain from reaching the rest of the body.

- If you are using blood thinners like warfarin, do not take ketotram as it can increase bleeding.

- If you are taking Codeine and Fluoxetine, inform your doctor. All these drugs can cause potential side effects.
- If you are taking Ketoconazole, it can increase the amount of this drug in the blood.
