Ixarola 20mg Tablet is an anticoagulant medicine containing rivaroxaban as the main ingredient. It is used to treat or prevent blood clots from forming in the veins of the heart, brain, lungs and legs. This medicine also helps in reducing the risk of heart attacks. It is advised to take this medicine regularly and follow the recommended dose and schedule. You should not stop the medicine abruptly if you feel improvement in the condition, to avoid future harm. Along with the treatment you need to modify the lifestyle also including a healthy diet and regular exercise for more effective results. The common side effect of this medicine is the increased risk of bleeding. So it is strictly advised to let your doctor know if you notice bloodstains in vomit or stool or nose bleed etc. Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.

Uses

  • Ixarola 20mg Tablet is indicated for the treatment and prevention of blood clotting conditions associated with deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism and stroke prevention.
  • It is also used for the prevention of blood clotting resulting after a hip or knee surgery and atrial fibrillation.

Contraindications

  • If you are allergic to this medicine or any of the ingredient of Ixarola 20mg Tablet.
  • If you are bleeding.
  • If you are suffering from a condition of increased risk of bleeding.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are already taking any other anti coagulating medicines.
  • If you have liver disease.
