Uses
- Cutaneous and systemic fungal infections
- Prevent fungal infections in preterm babies and organ transplant recipients
- Treatment of weak immune system in conditions such as AIDS

Side effects
- Common side effects of Itaspor 100mg Injection 20ml include rashes, stomach pain, diarrhoea, vomiting, decreased appetite Dryness in the mouth, increased enzymes in the liver, jaundice, liver damage
- Serious side effects include fits and rhythm defects in the heart. It also affects the adrenal glands in the body that could lead to reduced levels of steroid hormones in the body. This could cause weight loss, tiredness and weakness of the muscles

Interactions with other medicines
- The composition of Itaspor 100mg Injection 20ml when combined with cisapride can have additive effects. Cisapride could also lead to irregular heartbeat
- Astemizole, terfenadine, pimozide/quinidine, and erythromycin should not be taken when you are on this injection
- The effect of contraceptive medicines can be reduced when you are on this injection. Hence you may need an additional form of contraceptive to counter it.
- The effects of rifampicin, warfarin, prednisone, celecoxib, and voriconazole are also reduced when you are on this injection
