How Does It Work?

Pioglitazone reduces insulin resistance and lowers glucose production in the liver. In addition, it also increases the sensitivity of insulin in the liver, fat and skeletal muscles

Interactions of Glitaris 15 MG

Interactions with other medicines

On concomitant administration of rifampicin and pioglitazone, rifampicin may decrease pioglitazone exposure in the body
When taken along with gemfibrozil, there is an increased exposure of pioglitazone in the body that may require dose adjustments of pioglitazone to reduce the risk of side effects
A decrease in the exposure of pioglitazone and its active metabolites was noted with concomitant administration of pioglitazone and topiramate
