Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
- Glimiprex Sm Forte Tablet consists of glimepiride, metformin, and sitagliptin. Glimepiride lowers blood glucose levels by stimulating the pancreas to release more insulin. Metformin reduces the amount of glucose you absorb from food and the amount of glucose produced by the liver. It also boosts the body's response to insulin, a natural hormone that regulates the amount of glucose in the blood. Sitagliptin regulates blood sugar levels by increasing the body's incretins, which cause the pancreas to release more insulin. It also tells the liver to stop producing sugar (glucose) when there is too much sugar in the blood....
