Galop plus 10mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines, clonazepam and escitalopram. This combination helps balance certain chemical substances like serotonin and gamma-aminobutyric (GABA) in the b
rain. Hence, it is used in the treatment of depression and anxiety. Since Galop Plus 10mg Tablets is a habit-forming medicine and so should be taken in the dose and for the duration as prescribed by the doctor. It is advisable to take this medicine at a particular time of the day so that the neurotransmitters (chemical substances in the brain) are replenished. You may experience weight changes, mostly weight gain, while undergoing treatment with Galop Plus 10mg Tablet. To prevent excessive weight gain, you should adopt a few lifestyle modifications like eating healthy food and exercising daily. Before starting this medicine, you should inform your doctor about all the medicines that you are taking. Contraindications of Galop Plus 10mg Tablet
- If you have had convulsions in the past. This is because Galop Plus Tablet increases the risk of convulsions in them.
- If you have a history of allergic reaction to any of the components of Galop Plus Tablet.
- If you have a pre-existing liver or kidney disease.
- If you have narrow-angle glaucoma, as it further aggravates the condition.
- If you have complaints related to urination like urinary retention (i.e., due to prostatic disease).
- If you have been diagnosed with any heart disease or are recovering from a heart attack.
- If you take or have taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors like phenelzine, tranylcypromine, or selegiline within 14 days. The combination of both medicines can cause serious reactions such as high fever, tremors, and convulsions....
- Galop Plus 10mg Tablet is not approved for use in children under 12 years of age.

Directions for Use of Galop Plus 10mg Tablet
- Take Galop Plus 10mg Tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
- Take Galop Plus Tablet as a whole. Do not crush, chew, or break it.
- Do not exceed the recommended dosage of Galop Plus Tablet.
- Complete the course of treatment recommended by the doctor.
- Do not discontinue using Galop Plus Tablet without consulting your physician.
Interactions of Galop Plus 10mg Tablet
Interactions with other medicines
- Antidepressants (like desipramine, clomipramine, and nortriptyline) should not be combined with Galop Plus Tablets, as Galop Plus decreases the metabolism of these medicines.
- Combining Galop Plus Tablets with antipsychotics (like risperidone, thioridazine and haloperidol) can increase the toxic effects of antipsychotics like drowsiness.
- Anticoagulants (warfarin, coumadin), when used with Galop Plus Tablets, can increase the chances of bleeding.
- Medicines that are used in the treatment of migraines like triptans(sumatriptan, rizatriptan) can increase the side effects like chest tightness and decreased blood pressure when used with Galop Plus Tablets....
- Using Galop Plus Tablets with analgesics(fentanyl or tramadol) can increase the chances of drowsiness and impairment of judgement.
- Antacids (omeprazole, cimetidine) in combination with Galop Plus can increase the severity of side effects of Galop Plus medicine, like confusion, nausea, vomiting, and dryness in the mouth.
- Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (phenelzine, selegiline, isocarboxazid) should not be combined with Galop Plus Tablets as they can lead to diarrhoea and vomiting.
- Taking mood stabilisers (lithium) with Galop Plus increases the chances of convulsions in the future.
