Fynal Oz Strip Of 6 Tablets Description
Fynal-OZ tablet is an antibiotic medicine. Fynal-OZ is used for the treatment of diarrhoea caused by mixed organisms in adults. It is a combination medicine containing levofloxacin and ornidazole as
its active ingredients. It works by inhibiting the growth of infection-causing organisms, thus prevents the spread of infection. Take it in the prescribed dose and for the prescribed duration and never miss or skip a dose. Do not stop taking this medicine, always complete the entire course of treatment with antibiotic medicine. Incomplete treatment may result in treatment failure and increase the risk of re-infection. You can take this medicine with or without food. Fynal OZ should not be taken by children below 18 years of age. Inform your doctor if you have any medical conditions and are on any other medications.

Uses of Fynal Oz Strip Of 6 Tablets
Fynal-OZ tablet is used for the treatment of diarrhoea of mixed infection in adult patients.
Contraindications of Fynal Oz Strip Of 6 Tablets
- If you are allergic to levofloxacin, ornidazole or any other ingredients of the Fynal-OZ tablet.
- If you are allergic to fluoroquinolone or Nitroimidazole class of medicines.
- If you have a history of fits (epilepsy).
- If you have problems related to the tendon (tissue connecting muscles to bones) like inflammation and swelling of the tendons (tendonitis) due to treatment with any ‘quinolone antibiotic’ like ciprofloxacin, norfloxacin, etc....
- If you are below the age of 18.
- If you are pregnant, planning to have a baby or are breastfeeding.

Pregnancy

Other General Warnings
Talk to your doctor if
- You feel any type of strain or pain on tendons (tendinitis) and joints, immediately stop this medicine, do not move the joint much and inform your doctor immediately.
- You experience continuous or bloody diarrhoea.
- You have diabetes. Close glucose monitoring is required.
- You had a stroke or any brain injury.
- You have myasthenia gravis (muscle weakness).
- You experience suicidal thoughts, immediately inform your doctor.
- You experience fits or have a history of fits.
- You feel restlessness, lightheadedness, confusion or hallucinations.
- You have developed any allergic reactions after taking this medicine.
- You have any problems with your liver or kidney.
- You have any type of heart problems like heart attack, very slow heart rate and salt imbalance.
- You have glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency (an inherited disorder that affects red blood cells).
- Your age is 60 years or above.
Mode of Action of Fynal Oz Strip Of 6 Tablets
How Does It Work?
- Fynal-OZ tablet works by the combined action of both its components- levofloxacin and ornidazole.
- Levofloxacin works by inhibiting the multiplication of the bacteria thereby stopping the growth.
- Ornidazole works by stopping the growth of the bacteria or parasites causing the infection.
Directions for Use of Fynal Oz Strip Of 6 Tablets
Fynal-OZ tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water, with or immediately after your meal. Take it at a fixed time for optimal results. Do not consume it more than that prescribed by your doctor....
Interactions of Fynal Oz Strip Of 6 Tablets
Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way the Fynal-OZ tablet works or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
- Especially, if you are taking medicines to treat your psychiatric illnesses, diabetes, gout, fits or epilepsy.
- Blood sugar can drop if you are on insulin or Glibenclamide. Careful monitoring of blood glucose is needed.
- Increased chances of bleeding if taken along with blood thinners like warfarin.
- Medicines used to treat pain and inflammation (NSAID's) can increase the chance of fits.
- Medicines used to treat acidity (antacids) like Sucralfate, antacids containing calcium and magnesium should not be taken two hours before or after the Fynal-OZ tablet.

- Store the Fynal-OZ tablets below 30°C.
- Protect it from moisture and sunlight.
- Keep this medicine out of the reach of children and pet.
Dosage of Fynal Oz Strip Of 6 Tablets
Overdose
An overdose of the Fynal-OZ tablet may cause confusion, dizziness, impairment of consciousness, fits and nausea. Contact your doctor immediately in case of an overdose or rush to the nearest hospital.
Missed a Dose
It is advisable not to miss any dose of antibiotics as it can result in failure of therapy. If you have missed any dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose of this medicine to compensate for the missed one....

Q: For how long do I need to take the Fynal-OZ tablet?
A: You are supposed to complete the prescribed duration by your physician. If you skip the dose or do not complete the course, it may cause resistance and decrease the effectiveness of treatment.

A: Avoid sun exposure when on treatment and at least 48 hours after discontinuing the treatment. In case you have to go out, wear full sleeves clothes and cover yourself.
