Forecox Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat and prevent tuberculosis. Tuberculosis is a severe infectious bacterial disease that mainly affects the lungs caused by Mycobacterium Tuberculos
is. The Forecox Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called anti-tuberculosis medicine. Forecox Tablet is composed of Isoniazid, Rifampicin, Ethambutol and pyrazinamide. Forecox Tablet is a prescription medicine, and it is to be taken as suggested by the physician. Do not take in more than prescribed amounts as it may cause harmful side effects. Consult your physician immediately if you experience any side effects or worsening of your condition. Also, if you find any allergic side effects, you should contact your doctor immediately. Do not stop taking the medicine even if you feel better.

Contraindications of Forecox 150mg Strip Of 6 Tablets
- If you have an allergy or any hypersensitivity reaction to Isoniazid, rifampicin, Ethambutol and Pyrazinamide.
- If you are a patient under Antiviral medication since it can reduce its effectiveness.

How Does It Work?
Directions for Use of Forecox 150mg Strip Of 6 Tablets
- Always take the Forecox Tablet exactly as directed by your doctor.
- You can take a Forecox Tablet on an empty stomach at least 1-2 hours before or after a meal since food can decrease the absorption of this medicine.
- Swallow it with a glass of water.
- Do not chew or crush the tablet.
- Read the label instructions carefully.
- Dosage should be taken in recommended amounts at a particular time in a day to get maximum benefits and desired clinical effect.
Interactions of Forecox 150mg Strip Of 6 Tablets
Interactions with other medicines
- Interaction with Anti-HIV medicines like Saquinavir and Ritonavir can reduce these antiviral medicines’ effectiveness and increase the risk of liver toxicity.
- Interaction with antacids like omeprazole & pantoprazole may reduce the absorption of this medicine. Forecox Tablets should be given at least 1 hour before ingesting antacids.
- Interaction with antifungal medicines like ketoconazole decreases the serum concentration of both these medicines.
- Interaction with anticoagulants like warfarin, aspirin increase the requirement of these anticoagulant medicines.
Interactions with food items
- Tyramine and histamine-containing foods should be avoided by patients receiving a Forecox Tablet.
- Interaction with tyramine-containing foods (cheese, red wine) causes exaggerated responses (e.g. headache, sweating, palpitations, flushing, hypotension).
- Also, interaction with foods containing histamine (e.g. skipjack, tuna, other tropical fish) can occur with this medicine.
