Folate 5 MG Description

Folate tablet is a vitamin supplement that contains folic acid (vitamin B9) as its active ingredient. The tablet is used to treat and prevent folic acid deficiency anaemia, which is characterized by symptoms such as weakness, fatigue, headache, irritability, and difficulty concentrating. Folic acid plays various important roles in the body, including developing healthy red blood cells, growth and development, production of the body's genetic structure like DNA and RNA, cells and tissue growth during pregnancy, fetal development, and adolescence. Low levels of folic acid can cause mouth ulcers, numbness of extremities, tiredness, fatigue, and many more. Folic acid is crucial for proper brain functioning and also improves mental and emotional health. Dietary supplements should not be used as a substitute for a well-balanced, varied diet, and a healthy lifestyle. The dose and duration for taking Folate tablets are decided by the doctor after diagnosis. It is important not to take more than the prescribed dose.
