Contraindications of Eticholic 5 MG
- If you are allergic to obeticholic acid or any other ingredient of Eticholic Tablet.
- If you have complete blockage of the bile ducts in your liver or gallbladder.

How Does It Work?
Eticholic Tablet works by attaching to certain proteins in the liver and gut that control the production of a substance called bile. This reduces the production of bile in the liver and prevents it from building up and damaging the liver tissue....
Directions for Use of Eticholic 5 MG
- Take Eticholic Tablet as a whole with sufficient water.
- Always take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
- Do not consume more than the prescribed dose.
- Do not discontinue the medicine on your own without consulting your doctor.
Interactions of Eticholic 5 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way Eticholic Tablet works or this Tablet itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Tell your doctor about all medicines, supplements or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
- The use of Eticholic Tablet with bile acid binding resins (cholestyramine, colestipol, colesevelam) may reduce the effectiveness of this Tablet.
- Particular care should be taken if you are using medicines to treat asthma/chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (theophylline), muscle cramps (tizanidine), blood clots (warfarin).
