Esjoy Plus H tablet is a prescription medicine. It has active ingredients Escitalopram (SSRI) and Clonazepam (BZD). It is used in patients suffering from comorbid depression and anxiety. It calms the
brain's excitatory signals, which are in excess. It improves mood by increasing the levels of chemical messengers in the brain involved in mood elevation. Esjoy Plus H tablet should be taken as per doctor's advice but at the same time every day to maintain its consistent levels. It is a habit-forming, dependence creating medicine with withdrawal effects if stopped abruptly. Do not stop unless told to do so by a doctor and finish the complete course even if you feel better. Side effects may include altered bowel, dry mouth, reduced appetite, drowsiness, decreased sexual drive, uncontrolled shaky body movements, joint pain, muscular pain, impaired memory, blurred vision, confusion and abnormal heart rate. Do not engage in activities that need mental focus, like driving. Have a balanced diet, as it may cause weight gain or loss. Report to your doctor if you experience any behavioural changes. Contraindications of Esjoy Plus H Tablet
- Do not take Esjoy Plus H Tablet in the following cases:
- If you are allergic to Escitalopram, Clonazepam, other similar medicines, or any other components of the medicine
- If you are on treatment with Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs) like selegiline. There should be a gap of 14 days between these two medicines to avoid any interaction
- If you are on treatment with Pimozide, it may cause abnormal heart rate and rhythm
- If you are diagnosed with any liver or kidney disease
- If you have a history of narrow-angle glaucoma (raised eye pressure), as it may worsen your condition
- If you are below 18 years of age

- You are pregnant or breastfeeding.

- You have diabetes. In diabetic patients, this medicine should be used with caution as there is the risk of altered blood sugar levels. Blood glucose monitoring and dose adjustment may be required.
- You are on any blood thinner medicines or have a history of bleeding disorders; you need to inform your doctor as this medicine may worsen the bleeding. You might need to change the medication or adjust the dosage....
- You have kidney disease as it may worsen the existing condition.
- You have self-harm and self-killing tendencies, especially linked to its prolonged use.
- You have changes in mood or behavioural changes. Esjoy Plus H Tablet is linked to habit-forming on prolonged use.
