Medical Description

Enzoset Pb is a prescription medicine used to treat pancreatic enzyme deficiency. This medicine replaces digestive enzymes when the body does not have enough. Certain medical conditions which can cause this lack of enzymes are pancreatitis, cystic fibrosis, pancreatic cancer, or pancreas surgery. Enzoset Pb is a combination of three medicine- Bile Constituents, Dimethicone/Polydimethylsiloxane, and Pancreatin. This combination of medicine helps treat indigestion and bloating and allows easy passage of gas. The dose of Enzoset Pb should be taken as advised by your doctor. You should keep taking Enzoset Pb for as long as your doctor recommends. Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor, as your condition may worsen. Tell your doctor about all other medications you are taking, as some may affect or be affected by this medicine. The side effects of Enzoset Pb are nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, and mouth irritation.

Contraindications

  • Enzoset Pb is contraindicated in the following cases:
  • If you are allergic to any components of Enzoset Pb, i.e., Bile Constituents, Dimethicone/Polydimethylsiloxane, Pancreatin
  • If you are allergic to pork protein
  • If you are taking or using any other prescription medicines
  • If you are pregnant or a breastfeeding mother.

Directions for Use

  • Take Enzoset Pb exactly as prescribed by the doctor.

  • Do not keep the tablet in your mouth for long. The medicine may irritate the inside of your mouth.

Storage and disposal

Store Enzoset Pb at room temperature in a cool and dry area, away from humidity and direct sunlight. Keep the medication away from children and pet animals in a locked cabin. Medicines disposed of in this manner may contaminate the environment. Properly dispose of Enzoset Pb when it is expired or no longer required. Contact local waste company for the disposal.

Missed a Dose

If you have missed a dose of Enzoset Pb, take it as soon as you remember. If you remember missing a dose of this tablet when it is already time to take the next one, skip the missed dose, and take the next tablet. Do not take both doses together to compensate for the missing dose. If you keep missing the dose regularly, consult your doctor.

Enzoset Pb is a combination of three medicine Bile Constituents (25.0 Mg), Dimethicone / Polydimethylsiloxane (40.0 Mg), Pancreatin (192.0 Mg). Bile constituents are pancreatic enzyme supplements that act as the naturally produced bile, mix thoroughly with food, and help digest food. Dimethicone is also known as polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). It acts as an anti-bloating/anti-flatulence agent. Pancreatin is a substitution of the pancreatic enzyme that helps digest fats, starch, and protein.
