Please take Entavar tablets strictly as directed by your doctor. The tablets must be swallowed whole with a glass of water.

Interactions with other medicines

  • Rifampicin, when taken with linezolid, may decrease the efficiency of linezolid
  • Warfarin taken while on linezolid therapy may have a 10% reduced mean maximum INR
  • Concomitant administration of linezolid with dextromethorphan containing pseudoephedrine or phenylpropanolamine may increase mean systolic blood pressure
  • The co-administration of linezolid and serotonergic agents, including antidepressants such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), can cause serotonin syndrome

Interactions with food items

  • Excessive tyramine-rich food like mature cheese, fermented soya bean, yeast extract, etc. may cause pressor response (increase in blood pressure)
