Can I consume alcohol with Entavar 600mg Tablet?

When used with alcohol, especially undistilled alcoholic beverages, Entavar 600mg Tablet may increase blood pressure. Please tell your doctor before starting the medication if you have a habit of drinking.

Mode of Action of Entavar 600 MG
How Does It Work?
Linezolid belongs to a class of antibacterials called oxazolidinones. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria that causes pneumonia or skin infections.
Directions for Use of Entavar 600 MG
Please take Entavar tablets strictly as directed by your doctor. The tablets must be swallowed whole with a glass of water.
Interactions of Entavar 600 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Rifampicin, when taken with linezolid, may decrease the efficiency of linezolid
- Warfarin taken while on linezolid therapy may have a 10% reduced mean maximum INR
- Concomitant administration of linezolid with dextromethorphan containing pseudoephedrine or phenylpropanolamine may increase mean systolic blood pressure
- The co-administration of linezolid and serotonergic agents, including antidepressants such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), can cause serotonin syndrome
Interactions with food items
- Excessive tyramine-rich food like mature cheese, fermented soya bean, yeast extract, etc. may cause pressor response (increase in blood pressure)

Store at room temperature. Store out of reach from children. Do not throw away the unused medicine in the household trash. Instead, please ask your pharmacist for safe disposal practices.
Dosage of Entavar 600 MG
Overdose
Please go to the emergency department closest to you in case of overdose. In addition, please carry the product package with you to provide the doctor treating you with the necessary details.
Missed a Dose
If you miss a dose, please take it as soon as you realise it. Please skip the missed dose and take the next one if it is time for your next dose. Do not take two doses to make up for the missed dose.
