Medical Description
ELOsone-HT Cream is a topical medication used to treat skin conditions such as melasma and age spots, which often appear as brown or gray patches on the face. It works by lightening the skin tone and improving overall complexion. The cream contains a combination of mometasone (a steroid that reduces inflammation), tretinoin (which promotes skin cell turnover), and hydroquinone (which helps reduce pigmentation).
ELOsone-HT Cream should be used exactly as prescribed by your dermatologist, and prolonged use should be avoided due to the steroid content, which can thin the skin or cause other side effects. Apply a thin layer only on affected areas, and avoid contact with the eyes.
Always wash your hands before and after application to prevent accidental spread to other areas. To protect the skin and prevent further pigmentation, avoid direct sun exposure immediately after applying the cream and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen during the day.
Do not use ELOsone-HT Cream on broken or irritated skin unless instructed by your doctor. Inform your dermatologist about any other medications or skin treatments you are using to avoid potential interactions.
Regular follow-ups with your dermatologist are recommended to monitor skin response and adjust treatment as needed for safe and effective results.

Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
- Elosone HT cream contains a combination of Mometasone, Tretinoin and Hydroquinone as active ingredients and works by the combined action of these three components.
- Hydroquinone inhibits an enzyme known as tyrosinase, which is responsible for the production of a pigment called melanin. Melanin is responsible for skin pigmentation and melasma.
- Tretinoin is a metabolite of Vitamin A and is keratolytic. It is responsible for the elimination of melanin that has been formed. It also has anti-inflammatory properties.
- Mometasone is a corticosteroid and it works by blocking the production of inflammatory chemicals like prostaglandins and leukotrienes. Mometasone narrows and constricts blood vessels, which are dilated (widened) and leaky and allowing other inflammatory cells into the skin to promote the inflammatory response.
