Medical Description

Ebast-DC is an antiallergic medicine used to cure symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, throat infection, stuffy nose, nasal congestion or other symptoms of allergic rhinitis. It has two active components ebastine and phenylephrine.

Take this medicine only when prescribed by the doctor and adhere to the recommended dosage and duration. You should inform your doctor about all the medicines, herbs and supplements you take and all the medical conditions or diseases you suffer from.

You may have mild side effects also like headache, drowsiness, and dry mouth, but these are temporary symptoms that usually disappear on their own. Never recommend your medicines to another person even if they have symptoms as you do.

If you have a prostate or bladder-related problem.
If you have a tumour in the adrenal gland.
If you are suffering from certain health conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, high pressure inside the eyes (glaucoma) or overactive thyroid.
If you have any kind of heart-related problems.
If you have recently taken or taking medicines for brain-related disorders.

Pregnancy

Can I take the Ebast-DC during pregnancy?

Ebast dc is not recommended to consume it during pregnancy especially during the first trimester, as it may lead to chances of abnormalities in the foetus. However, it is not safe for women who have a history of high blood pressure during a previous pregnancy. Hence it is recommended not to use the same unless prescribed by your doctor.

Breast Feeding

Can I take the Ebast-DC while breastfeeding?

There is limited information on the use of Ebast dc during breastfeeding. Therefore a breastfeeding mother should take this medicine only under the doctor's recommendation. Avoid self-medication.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed the Ebast-DC?

No, Ebast dc is not recommended to drive after taking this medicine as it may cause dizziness or sleepiness.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with the Ebast-DC?

Although there is no known interaction with alcohol along with this medicine. However, it is important to consult your physician if you have a habit of regular drinking.
