Doxinate tablets are a medication used to prevent nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. It is a pregnancy care medicine primarily used by females during pregnancy. Doxinate is a combination medicine containing doxylamine and pyridoxine. Doxylamine is an antihistamine that blocks the natural substances in the body responsible for nausea and vomiting. Pyridoxine is a vitamin that also helps control nausea and vomiting and is necessary during pregnancy.
Before using this medication, it is important to inform your doctor about your detailed medication history and medical condition. Morning sickness is a condition experienced by the majority of pregnant women. It is characterized by nausea and vomiting.
Pregnidoxin NU tablet, Pregnova tablet, Nosic tablet and Goodnorm tablet also have doxylamine and pyridoxine as their active medicine.
Doxinate tablets should be taken as directed by the doctor and in the doses and duration prescribed. Excessive sleepiness, drowsiness, rashes, and itching are common side effects of Doxinate tablets. However, these side effects are temporary and resolve on their own. If these side effects worsen, contact your doctor immediately.

Directions for Use
- Take Doxinate tablet as a whole with a sufficient amount of water, without eating a meal, preferably on an empty stomach.
- You should take this medicine regularly without fail as directed by your doctor.
- You should not consume it more than the prescribed dose.
- Do not discontinue this tablet without consulting your doctor.
Storage and disposal
- Store it below 25°C in a clean and dry place, protected from moisture, sunlight and heat.
- Keep Doxinate tablets away from children and pets.
- You should not use this medicine once the expiry date has passed. The expiry date is the last day of that month.
- You should not use this medicine if you notice that the pack is damaged or it shows signs of tampering.
- Do not flush this medicine down the toilet or pour it into the drain. Properly discard it when it is expired or no longer needed.

Interactions with other medicines
- Doxinate tablet may interact with other medicines and create an altered response. Please tell your doctor if you are using any other medicines, over-the-counter medicines (that you buy without a prescription) and herbal preparations.
- Medicines used to treat depression, such as monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), central nervous system depressants such as barbiturates, and opioid pain killers, can worsen the side effects of Doxinate tablets.
- Avoid taking Doxinate if you are taking sleeping pills.
- Pyridoxine present in Doxinate can reduce the effects of Levodopa, Phenobarb and Phenytoin.
