- You witness any discomfort or sudden mood changes.
- You should inform your doctor about any other medications you are taking. Dotidep interacts with many other medications metabolised in the body using the same enzymes.
Directions for Use
- Dotidep should be taken as prescribed by a doctor only.
- It is recommended to take this medication at the same time every day.
- Swallow this medication as a whole. Do not crush, chew or break this tablet.
- Finish the full course of this medication as prescribed. Stopping Dotidep suddenly can cause withdrawal side effects. Consult your doctor before stopping.
- This medication may require 2-4 weeks for onset of action and up to 6 weeks for maximum efficacy. Do not increase the dose without explicit advice from your treating physician.

How Does It Work?
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Dotidep should not be used concomitantly with MAOIs (Monoamine oxidase inhibitors) or within 14 days of the use of MAOIs and vice versa. Examples of MAOIs include Selegiline, Rasagiline.
- Dotidep should not be used with medicines like tramadol, methadone, or linezolid, as it may result in extreme elevation of serotonin levels.
- Dotidep should not be used with medicines that can lower the seizure threshold.
- Dotidep should not be used with alcohol or other central nervous system depressants.
- Dotidep should not be mixed with opioid or benzodiazepines medications.
- Dotidep affects the heart rhythm and should not be used in addition to other medications that also have the same effect, as it may result in potentially life-threatening conditions. Examples include astemizole, cisapride, etc.
- Dotidep should not be used with BP medicines (anti-hypertensives) as it can increase their effect, resulting in severe lowering of BP.
- Dotidep is contraindicated in patients with hypothyroidism on treatment with Thyroxine, as this can result in abnormal heart rhythms.
