Description
Dermitop Lotion is a topical steroid medicine. It is used to alleviate (relieve) the symptoms of various skin diseases like dermatitis and eczema-like redness, swelling and itching. Dermitop contains
mometasone as its active ingredient. Avoid the medicine to treat other skin conditions than prescribed by the doctor. It is used for external application and must be applied as recommended by the doctor for the prescribed duration. Wash your hand before and after applying the Dermitop Lotion. Dermitop Lotion may cause temporary sensations of burning, stinging, or itching at the application site. These side effects usually resolve on their own. If these effects concern you or cause discomfort, please inform your doctor. It is important to let your doctor know about any medical conditions you may have, such as thinning skin, skin infections, broken or ulcerated skin, and immune system issues. Be sure to also inform your doctor about any other medications you are taking, especially steroids. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, seek medical advice before using this medication.

Uses
Dermitop Lotion is used to reduce redness and itching caused by skin problems like psoriasis (a skin disease in which scaly, pink patches develop on the knees, elbows, scalp and other parts of the body) or dermatitis (skin reaction in which the skin becomes red and itchy)....
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to mometasone or any other ingredients of Dermitop Lotion.
- If you have rosacea, a skin condition affecting the face.
- If you have itching in your private parts, wounds, nappy rash, skin eruptions and skin infections.
- It can worsen acne, herpes, warts, chickenpox, ringworm or conditions like swelling near the mouth.

Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
Mometasone is a topical steroid that decreases inflammation thus reduces redness, scaling and itching associated with it.
Directions for Use
- Use Dermitop Lotion as directed by your doctor.
- For external use only, apply it on healthy skin surface free from cuts and wounds.
- Wash your hands before and after using this medicine unless your hands are the area to be treated.
- In case your eyes come in contact with this medicine rinse your eyes with clean water immediately.
Interactions

Dermitop Lotion is meant for topical application and thus the interaction with other medicines taken orally are unlikely. However, it can interact with other medicines or products applied topically. Storage and disposal
- Dermitop Lotion should be stored below 25°C.
- Keep it out of sight and reach of children.
- Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.
Dosage
Overdose
- If you use this medicine more than you should or in large quantities, it may interfere with some hormone balance. It can cause puffiness on the face, swelling of the face and weakness.
- A larger amount for a longer period of time may have an impact on children's growth and development.
- Accidental ingestion of medicine should not cause any concern. However, kindly consult your doctor immediately.
Missed a Dose
If you have missed to apply Dermitop Lotion, apply it as soon as possible. Do not overapply this medicine just to compensate for the missed dose.
