Cresemba 100 mg Capsule is a prescription medication. It is an antifungal agent, used in the treatment of infections caused by certain fungal organisms. The pharmacological component of Cresemba 100
mg Capsule is isavuconazonium sulphate. Isavuconazonium is an azole antifungal. Fungal infections are seen in patients with decreased immunities and immunocompromising conditions like cancers, tuberculosis, post-transplantation, long term steroid therapy, etc. Cresemba 100 mg Capsule aids in the treatment of two kinds of fungal infections – invasive aspergillosis and mucormycosis (black mould). Cresemba 100 mg Capsule should be taken only after consulting a doctor. It should be taken for the entire duration as recommended by your doctor. For optimal efficacy taking the tablet at the same time every day is advisable.

Contraindications of Cresemba 186 MG
- If you have had hypersensitivity reactions to the active or inactive ingredients of Cresemba Capsules.
- If you have familial cardiac rhythm abnormalities.
- If you have had liver failure.

How Does It Work?
Directions for Use of Cresemba 186 MG
- Cresemba 100 mg Capsules should be taken as prescribed by the treating physician.
- It is recommended to take Cresemba Capsules every day for its entire course.
- Swallow Cresemba Capsule as a whole. Do not crush, chew or break it.
- It is recommended to complete the entire course of Cresemba Capsule as prescribed by your treating doctor. Consult your doctor before stopping this medication.
- Cresemba Capsule can be taken with or without food.
- Inform your doctor regarding other medications you may be taking in order to review and prevent any drug interaction associated effects.
Interactions of Cresemba 186 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- The use of this medication with those that increase or inhibit the actions of the enzymes that metabolise Cresemba is contraindicated. Some of these medications include:
- Rifampicin
- Rifabutin
- Carbamazepine
- Long-acting barbiturates
- Phenytoin and St. John's wort
- Efavirenz
- Nafcillin
- Etravirine
- Cresemba Capsules should not be used with ketoconazole.
- The use of Cresemba capsules with high doses of ritonavir is contraindicated.
Interactions with food items
- Cresemba Capsules do not have any specific interaction with any food. Unless advised otherwise by the doctor, a regular diet can be continued.
