Monocef-O 200 tablet is used for the treatment of bacterial infections. It is helpful in treating pneumonia, bronchitis and other infections of the skin, nose, throat, urinary tract, etc. Monocef-O 200 is an antibiotic medicine containing cefpodoxime as its active ingredient. It works by killing the bacteria, improving your condition and curing the infection. Monocef-O 200 tablet should be taken as directed by the doctor, in the correct doses and for the exact duration as prescribed. It should be taken with food to avoid stomach discomfort. Before using Monocef-O 200 tablet, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.
Uses
- Monocef-O 200 tablet is used to treat bacterial infections like respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia), skin infections, ear infections, infections of the sinuses, throat infections and infections of the tonsils.
- It is also used to treat infection of the urinary tract, gonorrhoea (a sexually transmitted disease in both male and female genital organs) and other infections of genital organs in males and females.
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to cefpodoxime or any other ingredients of Monocef-O 200 tablet.
- If you have a history of a severe allergic reaction to Penicillin or other Beta-Lactam antibiotics.

- You are using any Beta-lactam antibacterial medicines.
- You do not notice any improvement in your condition while on treatment.

- Keep it away from children and pets.
- Do not use expired or damaged medicines.
- Discard unused medicine properly. Do not flush it in the toilet or throw it into the drain.

- Monocef O 200mg tablet is an antibiotic prescribed by doctors to treat various bacterial infections like pneumonia and other infections of the skin, ear, nose, lungs, throat, stomach, bronchitis, and urinary tract.
- It should not be used for treating any other condition unless specified by the doctor.

- If you experience dizziness or sleepiness after taking Monocef O 200 mg, it is recommended to avoid driving, operating heavy machinery, or performing any such tasks that require mental alertness.
