Can I apply Clinxa Gel during pregnancy?

In pregnant women treated with topical clindamycin gel, no well-controlled studies have been done. Because systemic exposure to clindamycin and is limited, no adverse effects are expected during pregnancy. However, during pregnancy, Clinxa Gel should only be used if advised by the doctor.

Breast Feeding

Can I apply Clinxa Gel while breastfeeding?

There are no good studies in women to determine the harm to an infant if this medicine is used while breastfeeding. Before taking this drug during breastfeeding, weigh the potential advantages against the potential hazards and go as per doctor's advice.

Can I drive if I have applied Clinxa Gel?

This medicine shows no effect on your driving ability.

Directions for Use of Clinxa Gel

Clinxa Gel is solely for external use.
After gently washing with a mild cleanser and properly drying, apply Clinxa Gel in a thin film over the entire afflicted region once a day.
If the gel does not easily rub into the skin, it has been applied too thickly.
Hands should be cleansed after using the product. Patients can use a moisturiser if necessary.
If extreme dryness or peeling occurs, application frequency should be reduced or discontinued temporarily.
Avoid over application to get quick results.
It may take two to five weeks of medication before a therapeutic impact is seen.

Interactions with other medicines

Due to the possibility of interaction with the clindamycin component, Clinxa Gel should not be used in combinations with erythromycin-containing medicines.

Excessive use of Clinxa Gel can cause serious irritation. In this case, stop using the product and wait for the skin to heal.
Excessive topically administered clindamycin may result in systemic effects due to absorption of significant quantities.
Accidental ingestion of Clinxa Gel may result in gastrointestinal side effects similar to those experienced with systemically given clindamycin. in such cases rush to a closeby doctor.
