Contraindications
- If you are allergic to bromhexine, guaiphenesin, chlorpheniramine or any other ingredient of Cheston Expectorant.
- If you have high blood pressure.
- If you have a narrow or blockage in the blood vessels that supply blood to your heart.
- If you are taking medicines called monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). If you are not sure what these medicines are, please confirm with your doctor.

- You have a history of ulcers in the stomach or intestine.

- You have an enlarged prostate gland.
- You experience fits/seizures.
- You have heart or blood vessel disorders.
- You are unable to completely empty your bladder due to blockage or some other condition.
- You have breathing disorders like asthma or bronchitis.
- You have a blockage or obstruction in the stomach or intestine.
- You are giving Cheston Expectorant to the elderly or children.
- You drink alcohol or alcoholic beverages frequently.
- Your symptoms do not resolve even after 5 days of taking this medicine.
- You have a condition called porphyria.
Directions for Use
- Cheston Expectorant should be taken exactly as directed by your doctor.
- Shake well before use.
- Use a measuring cup or spoon for the exact quantity.
- Do not take more than the prescribed dose.

- Store Cheston Expectorant in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.

- Symptoms of an overdose of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, indigestion, sleepiness and stomach/intestinal discomfort.
- If you think you have taken too much of Cheston Expectorant, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
Missed a Dose
- If you missed a dose of Cheston Expectorant, take it as soon as you remember.
- If it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule.
- Do not take a double dose to compensate for the missed dose.

- Cheston Expectorant contains a combination of bromhexine, guaiphenesin and chlorpheniramine as active substances.
- Bromhexine thins and loosens the secretions (mucus), which helps to clear chest congestion and ease breathing.
- Guaiphenesin is an expectorant that works by thinning the phlegm/mucus in the throat, thus relieving symptoms of cough.
- Chlorpheniramine controls the symptoms of allergy or cold-like itchiness, runny nose and sneezing.
