Contraindications
- If you are allergic to clotrimazole or any ingredients of this medicine.
- Do not use it during your periods.
Side effects
- Application site reactions such as vaginal itching, pain and burning, rashes, peeling or bleeding and occasional pain in the belly or pelvic area.

Other General Warnings
- If you are experiencing allergy-like redness, burning, swelling on using this product.
- This gel can reduce the effectiveness of rubber contraceptives like condoms or diaphragms and can lead to contraceptive failure and unwanted pregnancy. To avoid this, use another method of contraception for at least 5 days after stopping treatment with Canditas V-gel gel.
- Do not use tampons, douches, spermicides, condoms and diaphragms.
- Avoid vaginal intercourse when you are using Canditas V-gel.
- You have diabetes, the chances of vaginal infections increases.
- You frequently have vaginal yeast infection avoid intercourse as that can infect your partner too.
Directions for Use
- Use this medicine as directed by your doctor, follow the package instructions.
- Lie on your back with your knees flexed.
- Fill the applicator with the cream and insert it into the vagina as far as it comfortably goes.
- Press the plunger of the applicator slowly to apply the cream.
- Canditas V-gel is meant for vaginal use only.
- Do not use it unless you are diagnosed with vaginal candidiasis.
- Wash your hands before and after using this medicine unless your hands are the area to be treated.
- In case your eyes come in contact with this medicine rinse your eyes with clean water immediately.

- Keep out of the reach of children and pets
- Discard Canditas V-gelwhen it is no longer needed or expired

Interactions with other medicines
- Canditas V-gel as applied locally in the vagina is less likely to interact with other medicines.
- Please tell your doctor if you are using any other medicines, over-the-counter medicines (that you buy without a prescription) and herbal preparations.
- While using this medicine, do not stop, start or change the dosage of your medicines without consulting your doctor.
- Medicines like Methotrexate and Cyclosporin used to modify immune response, steroid medicines such as prednisolone and some antibiotics may increase the risk of recurrent vaginal yeast infection taken along. If you are on any of these, inform your doctor.
