Candibiotic Plus Ear Drops

• If you are allergic to neomycin, clotrimazole, beclomethasone or other ingredients of Candibiotic Plus ear drops.
• If you suffer from psychiatric illnesses, epilepsy (fits) or seizures.
• The medicine must not be used in patients below the age of 12 years.

Other General Warnings

• You experience an allergic reaction to the skin after using Candibiotic ear drops.
• You experience other infections after using the ear drops.

• Use Candibiotic Plus ear drop as directed by the doctor.
• Tilt your head to one side and place the drops in your ear canal.
• Use the desired quantities and avoid using extra drops.
• Keep your head tilted for 2-3 minutes and let the drops soak into your ear.
• Repeat this process for the other ear, if necessary, after 5-10 minutes.
• Avoid touching the infected area.
• Wash your hands before and after applying Candibiotic Drops.

• Store the medicine in a dry place.
• Keep it away from children and pets.
• Do not use the medicine if you notice the contents are of a different colour in any way or if particles are present.

• Candibiotic Plus ear drop is used for the treatment of ear conditions with bacterial, fungal, or mixed infections.
• Use it as prescribed by your doctor and for the duration specified. Do not use more than the recommended drops of the medicine.
• Avoid contact of the dropper tip with any surface or contaminating the ear drop.
• Wash your hands before and after applying Candibiotic Drops.
• The medicine must not be used in patients below the age of 12 years.
• Talk to your doctor if you experience an allergic reaction to the skin after using Candibiotic ear drops.
• It is best not to use the drop for conditions other than those prescribed by the doctor.
• If you experience skin reactions after applying the drop, please inform your doctor immediately.
• You must not use the drop for a prolonged duration or more than the prescribed duration.
• If the eyes come into contact with the medicine, rinse them immediately with clean water.

How Does It Work?

• Beclomethasone is a steroid that blocks the synthesis of natural substances, i.e. prostaglandins, which are responsible for itching, swelling and inflammation.
• Clotrimazole inhibits the formation of a fungal cell wall component, leading to altered permeability and growth of the fungus, which can cause infection.
• Neomycin is an antibiotic agent used to treat bacterial skin infections. It inhibits the growth and multiplication of bacteria, causing infection.
• The medicines work more effectively by reducing the infection and inflammation of the ear.

Interactions with other medicines

• Candibiotic Plus ear drops are used for local application on the ear and are therefore less likely to interact with other medicines taken orally. It interacts with other topically applied medicines on the ear. Discuss this with your doctor if you are already taking another topical medication.
• Limited information is available on the interaction of Candibiotic Plus ear drops with other medicines. As Candibiotic Plus ear drops contain three different components, the interaction that may occur when taken alone may also occur with the combination.
• Other medications, such as Ritonavir, Cidofovir, Cisplatin, Amphotericin B, and painkillers like Ibuprofen, as well as antibiotics like Amikacin, Tobramycin, Rifampin, and Rifabutin, must be used cautiously.
