Calmwinplus tablet is primarily used for the treatment of Anxiety disorder. Anxiety disorder is characterised by excessive, unrealistic worry and fear that are strong enough to interfere one’s daily
activities. Calmwin Plus tablet belongs to the therapeutic classification of antianxiety and antidepressants. Calmwin Plus tablet is composed of Clonazepam and Citalopram. Clonazepam is Benzodiazepine that helps in relieving anxiety by decreasing the abnormal electrical activity in the brain. Whereas citalopram aids in enhancing the mood by the reuptake of serotonin. This combination of two medicines help in treating anxiety disorders like panic attacks, generalised anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorders and post-traumatic stress disorder. Calmwin Plus tab dosage and duration will be decided by your health care professional depending on your condition. Don’t self medicate as it may lead to harmful side effects. Dosage will be reviewed and adjusted by your doctor along the course of the treatment. This medicine has habit-forming potential. Therefore, careful monitoring is required in such conditions. Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
Calmwin Plus is a combination medicine that consists of two components, namely Clonazepam belongs to a group of medications called Benzodiazepine. It is used for the treatment of panic disorder and seizures. It exerts its action by increasing the activity of a major neuro inhibitory transmitter GABA (Gamma Amino Butyric Acid), in the central nervous system. GABA decreases activity in the nervous system by inhibiting certain brain signals and thus reduces anxiety attacks and panic disorders.
Citalopram exerts its action by increasing the serotonin levels in the brain. Serotonin is a chemical neurotransmitter in the brain that carries signals from one part of the brain to another. By increasing the availability of serotonin in the brain, it can be used to treat anxiety....
Directions for Use
- Take Calmwin Plus Tablet exactly as advised by your doctor.
- Swallow the entire tablet with water.
- The tablet shouldn’t be crushed or chewed.
- It can be taken with food.
- Continue to take medicine as long as your doctor recommends.
- Dose should be taken at a particular time in a day. It helps maintain the constant level of medicine in your body and achieve the desired clinical effect.

- Interaction with carbamazepine can affect the clearance (amount of medicine removed from plasma) of Calmwin Plus tab.
- Interaction with anticoagulants like warfarin, aspirin can increase the risk of bleeding.
- Interaction with other antidepressants and opioids like codeine can cause Central nervous system depression.
Interactions with food items
- Food containing caffeine should be avoided as they counteract this medicine's calming effect by stimulating the brain.
