Cabozanib 60Mg Bottle Of 30 Tablets

• Advanced renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer), alone or in combination with nivolumab as a first-line treatment
• Hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer) that has been previously treated with sorafenib, and adults and young people aged 12 years and older with:
• Locally advanced or metastatic differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) that has progressed following prior VEGFR-targeted therapy and is no longer responsive to or eligible for radioactive iodine treatment
• Previously treated, unresectable, locally advanced or metastatic, well-differentiated pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours (pNET)
• Previously treated, unresectable, locally advanced or metastatic, well-differentiated extra-pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours (epNET)

• If you have a recent history of severe or life-threatening bleeding, including coughing up blood, vomiting blood, or blood in stools, as this medicine can cause further serious or fatal haemorrhage
• If you are pregnant or may become pregnant, as this medicine can cause serious harm to an unborn baby

• Diarrhoea
• Fatigue and weakness
• Hand-foot syndrome (palmar-plantar erythrodysesthesia or PPE), causing redness, pain, swelling, and blistering on the palms and soles of the feet
• Nausea and vomiting
• Constipation
• Decreased appetite
• High blood pressure (hypertension)
• Weight loss

• Liver enzyme abnormalities (hepatotoxicity)
• Mouth sores (stomatitis)
• Skin rash
• Underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism)
• Muscle and bone pain (musculoskeletal pain)
• Changes in taste (dysgeusia)
• Abdominal pain
• Cough and upper respiratory tract infections

• Headache and dizziness
• Underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism), causing tiredness and weight gain
• Hoarseness or voice changes (dysphonia)
• Shortness of breath (dyspnea)
• Skin rash and dry skin
• Muscle spasms and pain in the limbs
• Raised liver enzyme levels in blood tests
• Protein in the urine (proteinuria)
• Low calcium levels (hypocalcemia) in blood tests

• Serious or life-threatening bleeding (haemorrhage), including coughing up blood, vomiting blood, or blood in stools
• Gastrointestinal perforation (a hole in the stomach or intestine) or abnormal connections between organs (fistulas), which can be fatal
• Blood clots in veins (venous thromboembolism, including pulmonary embolism) or arteries (arterial thromboembolism)
• Hypertensive crisis (dangerously high blood pressure)
• Severe liver damage (hepatotoxicity), particularly when used with nivolumab
• Osteonecrosis of the jaw (ONJ), causing jaw pain, bone problems, or slow healing after dental procedures
• Poor wound healing following surgery
• Reversible Posterior Leukoencephalopathy Syndrome (RPLS), a rare brain condition causing seizures, headaches, confusion, or vision changes

Other General Warnings

• You notice any unusual bleeding, such as coughing up blood, vomiting blood, blood in your stools, or any other unexpected bleeding, as Cabozanib tablet can cause serious or fatal haemorrhage that may require permanent treatment discontinuation
• You develop persistent or severe abdominal pain, as this may indicate a serious complication such as a hole in the stomach or intestine (gastrointestinal perforation) or an abnormal connection between organs (fistula)
• You experience sudden chest pain, shortness of breath, or swelling in a limb, as these may indicate a serious blood clot in the lungs or veins
• You have uncontrolled high blood pressure or your blood pressure becomes difficult to manage during treatment, as Cabozanib tablet can cause severe hypertension and hypertensive crisis
• You develop jaw pain, tooth pain, loose teeth, gum ulcers, or slow healing of the mouth or jaw after dental work, as Cabozanib tablet can cause osteonecrosis of the jaw; maintain good oral hygiene and inform your dentist before any invasive dental procedure
• You are planning any surgery, including dental surgery, as Cabozanib tablet must be stopped at least 3 weeks before any planned procedures to reduce the risk of bleeding and impaired wound healing
• You develop new or worsening neurological symptoms such as seizures, severe headache, vision problems, or confusion, as these may indicate a rare but serious brain condition called RPLS
• You notice unusual tiredness, weight changes, or cold sensitivity, as Cabozanib tablet commonly causes thyroid dysfunction that may require monitoring or treatment
• You experience muscle cramps, tingling, or numbness, as these may be signs of low calcium levels (hypocalcemia) in the blood, which requires regular blood test monitoring
• You have moderate liver disease (Child-Pugh B), as a dose reduction is required; Cabozanib tablet must be avoided entirely in severe liver disease (Child-Pugh C)
• You are a man or woman planning to have children in the future, as Cabozanib tablet may impair fertility in both sexes

• Take Cabozanib tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor, once daily on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or at least 2 hours after eating
• Swallow the tablets whole with water; do not crush, chew, or split them
• Do not substitute Cabozanib tablet tablets with cabozantinib capsules, as they are different formulations and are not interchangeable
• Tell your doctor at least 3 weeks before any planned surgery, including dental surgery, as treatment must be stopped in advance to reduce the risk of bleeding and wound healing problems

• Store at room temperature, 20-25°C (68-77°F).
• Do not freeze.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.

• Always take Cabozanib tablet on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after eating, as food significantly changes how much medicine is absorbed into the body
• Never substitute Cabozanib tablet tablets with cabozantinib capsules, as they are different formulations with different dosing and are not interchangeable
• Tell your doctor immediately if you notice any unusual bleeding, such as coughing up blood, vomiting blood, or black or tarry stools, as this medicine can cause serious or life-threatening haemorrhage
• Tell your doctor right away if you develop painful redness, swelling, or blisters on the palms of your hands or soles of your feet, as hand-foot syndrome is very common with this medicine and needs early management
• Maintain good oral hygiene, attend regular dental check-ups, and inform your dentist that you are on this medicine, as osteonecrosis of the jaw is a known risk; avoid invasive dental procedures where possible
• Monitor your blood pressure regularly during treatment, as high blood pressure is very common and may need to be managed with additional medicines
• Avoid grapefruit, grapefruit juice, and St. John's Wort throughout your treatment course
• Women of childbearing potential must use effective contraception during treatment and for 4 months after the last dose
• Inform all your doctors, dentists, and emergency care providers that you are taking Cabozanib tablet, as it requires special precautions around surgery and interacts with many medicines

Overdose

• One case of overdose has been reported, where a patient accidentally took twice the intended dose for 9 days. This led to severe memory impairment, changes in mental status, cognitive disturbance, weight loss, and elevated kidney markers in blood tests. There is no known specific antidote for a Cabozanib tablet overdose.
• If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact your doctor or go to the nearest emergency department right away. Your doctor will stop the medicine and provide supportive monitoring and care as needed.

Missed a Dose

• If you miss a dose of Cabozanib tablet and it is more than 12 hours until your next scheduled dose, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is within 12 hours of your next dose, skip the missed dose and take your next dose at the regular time.
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose. If you are unsure what to do, contact your doctor or pharmacist for advice.

Interactions with other medicines

• Avoid strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (such as ketoconazole, itraconazole, and certain HIV medicines), as these can raise the amount of Cabozanib tablet in the blood and increase the risk of serious side effects; if co-administration cannot be avoided, your doctor will reduce the dose
• Avoid strong or moderate CYP3A4 inducers (such as rifampicin, carbamazepine, and phenytoin), as these can significantly reduce the effectiveness of Cabozanib tablet; your doctor may increase the dose if co-administration cannot be avoided
• Avoid St. John's Wort throughout your treatment, as it can reduce the effectiveness of Cabozanib tablet
• Always tell your doctor about all medicines, supplements, vitamins, and herbal products you are taking before starting treatment

Interactions with food items

• Cabozanib tablet must be taken on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or at least 2 hours after eating, as food significantly increases the amount of medicine absorbed into the body and can raise the risk of side effects
• Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice throughout your treatment course, as these can increase the amount of Cabozanib tablet in the blood and raise the risk of side effects
• Drink enough water and fluids throughout the day to support kidney function and overall health during treatment
• Avoid alcohol during treatment, as it can worsen fatigue and diarrhoea, which are already common side effects
