Bosentas 62.5 Tablet

• Pulmonary arterial hypertension (high pressure in the blood vessels that carry blood from the heart to the lungs).

• If you are allergic to bosentan or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
• If you have liver problems.
• If you are taking immunosuppressants such as ciclosporin A (a medicine used after a transplant or to treat psoriasis).
• If you are pregnant or a woman of childbearing age and not using any contraceptive measures.

• Headache
• Abnormal liver enzymes
• Swelling of legs and ankles
• Blocked nose
• Irregular heartbeat
• Redness of skin

Other General Warnings

• You are pregnant or a woman of childbearing age.
• You are going to have any lab test such as liver function test, haemoglobin test, etc.
• It is not recommended for use in children, especially those who have ulcers or any blood-related disorder.

• It should be taken as directed by your doctor. Swallow it whole with a glass of water. Do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
• It can be taken with or without food or as advised by the doctor.
• It would be best if you took it at a fixed time for optimal results and not consume it more than that prescribed by your doctor.

• Store at room temperature in the original package.
• Keep out of the reach of children and pets.

Interactions with other medicines

• Some medicines can affect the way Bosentas 62.5 tablet works or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
• Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
• Especially if you are taking any anti-diabetic medicines, immunosuppressants such as tacrolimus, hormonal contraceptive pills, anti-fungal medicines such as ketoconazole, cholesterol-lowering medicines, medicines for erectile dysfunction, etc.
• Other medicines that should be used with caution are anticoagulant medicines, anti-tuberculosis medicines like rifampicin, anti-epileptic medicines such as phenytoin, anti-HIV medicines, and anti-depressant medicines such as St. John’s wort, etc.
