Medical Description

Azinorm DT Tablets are used to relieve nausea, vomiting, indigestion and symptoms linked with slow movement of food through the upper digestive tract. They contain domperidone, which helps food move forward and reduces signals that trigger vomiting. By improving stomach movement, domperidone can reduce fullness, bloating and the return of stomach contents towards the food pipe. These tablets are used by mouth as a dispersible preparation, according to medical advice.

How does this medicine work?

Domperidone reduces the signals that trigger nausea and vomiting and helps the upper digestive tract move food forward. This can help the stomach empty more effectively, reducing fullness and bloating. It may also reduce the movement of stomach contents back towards the food pipe.

Interactions

Interactions with other medicines

Some medicines can affect the way Azinorm works. Tell your doctor about all the medicines, vitamins and supplements you take. In particular, do not combine it with medicines that can prolong the heart rhythm, including some antibiotics, antifungal medicines, medicines for mental health conditions, pimozide or hydroxyzine. Some medicines that slow its breakdown can raise domperidone levels and heart rhythm risk. Tell your doctor about medicines for heart disease, liver disease or stomach symptoms.
