Medical Description
Axon tablet is a combination medicine used to treat nerve-related pain (or neuropathic pain, an abnormal, painful sensation in various body parts caused by nerve damage) in adults. It contains pregabalin and methylcobalamin. Methylcobalamin is a form of vitamin B that plays a role in the production of myelin, a substance that protects nerve fibres and helps regenerate damaged nerve cells. Pregabalin, an alpha-2 delta ligand, reduces pain by modulating the activity of calcium channels in nerve cells. Together, these two components work to alleviate neuropathic pain, a type of pain caused by nerve damage.
Axon tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor, in the prescribed doses and for the recommended duration. It is advisable to inform your doctor about all the medications you are currently taking or have taken in the past few days, as well as any other health issues you may have, such as heart, liver, or kidney problems. To achieve optimal results, take this medicine at the same time each day.

- Certain medicines can interfere with the action of the Axon tablet if taken at the same time.
- Always inform your doctor about all the medicines you are taking, which includes all prescribed or non-prescribed herbal medicines, dietary supplements, as well as other treatments you are taking for any disorder.
- In particular, if you are taking medicines for brain-related disorders like lorazepam, antibiotics like chloramphenicol, etc.
- The interaction of this medicine with other medicines is not clearly understood. Therefore, please inform your doctor about all the medications you are currently taking or have taken within the last few days.
Other general Interactions
- You may experience side effects such as bumps, swelling in the skin, itching, and difficulty breathing after taking this medicine.
- You are experiencing vision problems, dizziness, and sleepiness, among other symptoms. Also, this can lead to accidental injury (fall) in elderly patients. Be cautious if you are an elderly patient.
- You have an existing medical condition, such as liver or kidney problems, epilepsy, heart issues, or low vitamin B12 levels.
- You experience a low mood or mood changes.
- It is advised not to stop this medicine abruptly; your doctor shall gradually decrease the dose.
