Uses
- Amifru Tablet is used for the treatment of oedema and high blood pressure in adults.
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to amiloride, furosemide, or any other ingredient of Amifru Tablet.
- If you are allergic to sulfonamide or sulfonamide derivatives. like sulfamethoxazole. If you are not sure what these medicines are, please confirm with your doctor.
- If you have liver or kidney problems.
- If you are dehydrated, have a low blood volume, or are not passing any urine.
- If you have too little or too much potassium or sodium in your blood or are taking medicines that may change the amount of potassium in your blood.
- If you have a disease called Addison's disease.
- If you are under 18 years of age.

- You are going to have a glucose test.
- You have gout, diabetes, liver, or kidney problems.
- You have blockage of the urinary tract or difficulty in passing urine.
- You are 65 years of age or older.
- You have low blood pressure or low blood volume.
- You have lower than normal protein levels.
- You are an elderly patient with dementia and are also taking risperidone.
Directions for Use
- Take this medicine as a whole with sufficient water.
- Always take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
- Do not consume more than the prescribed dose.
- Do not discontinue the medicine on your own without consulting your doctor.
Storage and disposal
- Store in a cool and dry place below 25°C away from direct sunlight.
- Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

- The symptoms of overdose of Amifru Tablet are dry mouth, thirst, muscle cramps, vomiting, dizziness, sleepiness. If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.

Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way Amifru Tablet works, or Amifru Tablet itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Tell your doctor about all medicines, supplements, or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
- Amifru Tablet should not be used with medicines that can change the amount of potassium in your blood like potassium supplements, potassium chloride, diuretics (triamterene).
- Care should be taken if you are using medicines to treat heart failure (digoxin), high blood pressure (ramipril, losartan), pain/fever (indomethacin, aspirin), mental illness (lithium, risperidone), diabetes (sitagliptin, metformin), asthma/chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (theophylline, salbutamol), muscle relaxants (d-tubocurarine), fits/seizures (phenytoin, aminoglutethimide), inflammation (corticosteroids), gastric ulcer (carbenoxolone), laxatives (bisacodyl), depression(reboxetine), fungal infections (amphotericin), cancer (methotrexate), gout (probenecid), bacterial infections (cefalexin).
- Sucralfate may reduce the effect of Amifru Tablet and must not be taken together.
- Amifru Tablets may increase the risk of hearing damage when used with aminoglycosides (gentamicin) or platinum-based anticancer medicines (cisplatin).
- The use of Amifru Tablets with cyclosporine increases the risk of gouty arthritis.
