  • Interaction with lithium salts may reduce its excretion leading to lithium toxicity
  • Ramipril interacts in hypoglycaemic agents, and it may lead to hypoglycaemic reactions
  • Calcium channel blockers should not be given in combination with metoprolol as it increases the risk of heart failure and hypotension
