Medical Description
Montair LC Kid dispersible tablet is a commonly prescribed anti-allergy medicine for children. It helps manage symptoms of allergies such as a runny or blocked nose, sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and breathing difficulties caused by airway blockage. This medicine is particularly useful in conditions such as allergic rhinitis and seasonal allergies, which often affect children and disrupt their day-to-day activities.
This tablet contains two active ingredients, montelukast and levocetirizine, which work together to relieve allergy symptoms. Montelukast blocks the action of certain natural substances that cause narrowing and swelling of the airways, making it easier for your child to breathe. Levocetirizine, an antihistamine, helps control sneezing, itching, and watery eyes by blocking histamine, the chemical responsible for allergic reactions.
It is essential to administer Montair LC Kid dispersible tablets exactly as prescribed by your child’s doctor. Do not exceed the recommended dose, as giving more than advised may cause side effects such as drowsiness or stomach upset. The medicine should be given for the full duration prescribed to ensure proper relief from allergy symptoms.
This medicine should not be given to children who are allergic to montelukast, levocetirizine, or any other ingredient in the tablet. Always inform your doctor about your child’s complete medical history before starting the medicine, especially if there are any liver, kidney, or breathing-related conditions.
You should also share details of all other medicines, vitamins, or herbal supplements your child is taking, as they may interact with the Montair LC Kid dispersible tablet. Following your doctor’s advice carefully will help ensure safe and effective allergy relief for your child.
