How does this medicine work?

Clobetasol propionate is a strong steroid that reduces inflammation, redness and itching. Clotrimazole and tolnaftate prevent the growth of fungi. Gentamicin acts against certain bacteria. Iodochlorhydroxyquinoline has antibacterial and antifungal activity. Together, they may help selected mixed infections, but the strong steroid can hide or worsen an untreated infection.
